Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Landfall Legacy processes information when you use its Discord bot, web dashboard and related account features.

2. Information Landfall May Process

Depending on the features you use, Landfall may process your Discord user ID and basic Discord account information made available through the authentication permissions you approve, together with Landfall-specific data such as level, XP, virtual currencies, inventory, cases, items, crafting resources, effects, statistics, transaction or gameplay records, preferences and account status.

Landfall does not receive your Discord password through Discord OAuth authentication.

3. Why Information Is Used

Information is used to authenticate you, associate requests with the correct Landfall account, operate progression and economy systems, display your dashboard, save preferences, prevent abuse, investigate errors, secure the service and provide features you request.

4. Sessions and Cookies

The web dashboard may use a session cookie to keep you signed in and associate browser requests with your authenticated Landfall account. Session data should not contain your Discord password.

5. Discord and Other Third Parties

When you choose Discord authentication, information is exchanged with Discord as necessary to complete authentication. If you link Steam, LandFall stores your public SteamID64 and uses Steam OpenID to verify ownership. LandFall never receives your Steam password. Steam and other services have their own privacy practices and terms.

Landfall does not sell personal information.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Landfall account and progression data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the account, maintain the game's economy, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, maintain security or satisfy applicable obligations. Data that is no longer reasonably needed may be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.

7. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect Landfall information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Authentication secrets and service credentials should never be exposed through the public dashboard.

8. Your Requests and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal data associated with your account, such as requesting access, correction or deletion. Requests can be directed to the Landfall project administrators. Identity verification may be required before acting on an account-data request.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of personal data associated with your Landfall account, subject to information that must or may reasonably be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. Deleting Landfall data may permanently remove progression, inventory and other account records.

10. Children's Privacy

Landfall is not intended to bypass the minimum-age requirements of Discord, Steam or applicable law. Users must satisfy the eligibility requirements of the platforms they use with Landfall.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as Landfall's features and data practices change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.
